Shah Rukh Khan On "Bollywood's Son-In-Law" Virat Kohli: "Have Known Him Since His Dating Period With Anushka Sharma"

Shah Rukh Khan recently shared his admiration for celebrity couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. Shah Rukh spoke about his close bond with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. In an interview with Star Sports, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his fondness for Virat Kohli, referring to him as Bollywood's "Daamad" (son-in-law). "I spent a lot of time with him, I just love him. We say that he is our son-in-law, he is our fraternity's (Bollywood) ‘Daamad'. I have known him the most compared to other players. I have known Virat and Anushka for a long time, and spent a lot of time with them. I have known him since his dating period was going on and I was shooting the film with Anushka. So, he spent many days with us, and became very friendly."

Shah Rukh Khan also humorously recounted teaching Virat Kohli the signature steps of the title track of his movie, Pathaan (2023) . "I taught him the Pathan movie title song dance steps. I saw him in one of the India matches, he tried to dance with Ravindra Jadeja in the match. They were trying to do that dance step, I was very sad that they are doing it so badly! I told them that let me make you learn the steps so that in the next World Cup and other Championships, whenever you dance at least you will call me and ask how to do the steps," Shah Rukh Khan chuckled.

Vijay Varma Reviews Diljit Dosanjh's Amar Singh Chamkila: "It Refuses To Leave Me"

Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Amar Singh Chamkila has been receiving love and praise from critics and audiences. The film also impressed actor Vijay Varma. He revealed how the film refused to leave his mind even after five days. The actor also thanked filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for this gift.

Vijay took to his Instagram stories on Monday and shared still of Parineeti and Diljit along with a note. He described the movie as one of the most "potent, poignant and extraordinary" he has seen.

"It's been 5 days since I watched chamkila and it refuses to leave me. It is one of the most potent, poignant and extraordinary film I have seen and I want to thank @imtiazaliofficial sir giving us this gift."

He also heaped praise on Parineeti and Diljit for their performance.

Vijay wrote, "Parineeti Chopra was delightful as she tapped onto such simplicity and genuineness. And Diljit Dosanjh bhai.. mere shabd kam pad jayenge aapki taarif ke liye. Dil jit liya. BRAVO!"

Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, Amar Singh Chamkila presents the untold true story of Punjab's original rockstar of the masses, who emerged from the shadows of poverty and rose to the heights of popularity in the eighties due to the sheer power of his music, angering many along the way, which led to his assassination at the young age of 27.

Diljit Dosanjh portrays Chamkila,' the top-selling artist of his era. Parineeti essays the role of Amar Singh Chamkila's wife, Amarjot Kaur.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay Varma recently appeared in Homi Adajania's Murder Mubarak, which hit theatres month on March 15. The movie features Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Pankaj Tripathi in significant roles.

Vijay Varma has finished shooting for their upcoming drama Ul Jalool Ishq.

Helmed by Vibhu Puri, the film also stars veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in the lead roles.

Ruslaan Box Office Collection Day 3: Aayush Sharma's Film's Weekend 1 Report Card

The box office numbers for Ruslaan saw a slight increase on its first Sunday. On day 3, the movie headlined by Aayush Sharma minted ₹0.79 crore, according to a Sacnilk report. So far, the Karan Butani directorial has amassed ₹2.09 crore, the report added. Ruslaan narrates the story of a dead terrorist's son who wants to save the nation and become a true patriot. The film also features Sushrii Mishraa, Vidya Malvade, Sangay Tsheltrim, Jagapathi Babu, and Manish Gaharwar in important roles. Released on April 26, Ruslaan has been backed by K. K. Radhamohan.

Ahead of Ruslaan's release, Aayush Sharma posted a video on Instagram to showcase his significant physical transformation for the film. Alongside a montage of his intense gym workouts, the actor shared, “This is what happens when the director says we shoot the bare body fight in 25 days. It's supposed to be in Azerbaijan and we shoot in -6 degrees. Abs which are cinematically important in reality are the muscles that can betray you very soon. Takes time to come and slight oversight and your tummy is back out. Though it's not healthy to constantly be in a 6 pack condition I try my best to stay in shape. Unlike popular opinion, maintaining the shoot condition throughout the year is neither healthy nor advised.”

Aayush Sharma continued, “Unfortunately due to a shoulder injury I had started going easy with my workouts and not giving my best. Body had adapted to the diet so I had started eating a lot of home food to shake things up. But when Karan narrated the action sequence I was thrilled and excited, I knew this is going to be the best and most challenging sequence of Ruslaan. Not only for me but also for the whole crew. Freezing climate and uncontrolled shoot location. But the whole Ruslaan team was excited to shoot this sequence.”

In an NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee wrote, “Ruslaan is, in a way, both a reaction to and an extension of the flurry of propaganda films that Bollywood has been producing of late to advocate turbo-charged nationalistic fervour, vilify communities that are singled out for outright othering and peddle selective history to further a particular ideology.”

“It is a reaction because the protagonist is a Muslim boy out to outdo all pop patriots, contemporary as well as historical, that Hindi films have paraded across the big screen in recent years. But Aayush Sharma is no Akshay Kumar. He is not even a Vidyut Jammwal. His heroics ring hollow because they ride on notions that have done to death,” Saibal Chatterjee added.

Arijit Singh Failed To Recognize Mahira Khan At Dubai Concert. Then This Happened

At a recent concert in Dubai, Bollywood singer Arijit Singh failed to recognize one of the attendees - Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. What the singer did next to make up for it was absolutely adorable. It so happened that Arijit Singh was performing at a concert in Dubai where he sang the song Zaalima from Raees. The singer however failed to recognize that actor Mahira Khan - on whom the song was picturized, was sitting right on the front row of the same concert. Rectifying his mistake, the singer then apologized and even gave a shout out to the actress.

In a video that is going viral on social media, Arijit Singh can be heard saying on stage, "You guys must be surprised, should I reveal. I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have camera there. I have been trying to recognise this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan sitting right infront of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it's her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn't recognise her. I am so sorry. Maam gratitude and thank you so much.”

Mahira Khan, who can be spotted wearing a wear outfit in the video, smiled at the sweet gesture and waved at the audience.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Box Office Collection Day 17: Next Stop For Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff's Film - Rs 60 Crore

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has seen a slight increase in box office numbers on its third Saturday. On day 17, the action film minted ₹ 65 lakh, according to a Sacnilk report. The movie has so far amassed ₹ 59.55 crore. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. Movie buffs are also praising the performances of Manushi Chhillar as Captain Misha, Alaya Furniturewalla in the role of Doctor Parminder Bawa, and Prithviraj Sukumaran portraying Kabir, also known as Mr X. Released on April 11, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has been produced by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is a reboot of the 1998 movie of the same name. The original blockbuster featured Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in leading roles. Before the film's release, producer Jackky Bhagnani shared an anecdote about Govinda's positive reaction to the trailer. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Jackky Bhagnani mentioned, “Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) uncle was busy but I got an opportunity to meet Chichi bhaiya (Govinda) at his house a day before the trailer launch of the film and showed him the trailer. He saw it and said to me, ‘Your director is a very good man.'”

“When I asked him how he could predict the same, he told me that Ali hasn't made a film but cinema with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. We all know that Chichi bhaiya is a veteran and legend. I grew up in front of him. And his words gave me so much confidence. It was just amazing. I'm a creative person who's now producing. It made me so happy. All of us are working day and night so that people like what we made and praise us,” Jackky Bhagnani added.

In an NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee wrote, “But Bade Miyan Chote Miyan labours in the belief that star power can help a sloppy script paper over the effects of a glaring lack of substance. Captain Freddy is the sort of guy who thinks no end of himself. He will have Captain Rakesh alias Rocky (Tiger Shroff), his younger mate, believe that the latter would be a dead duck without the experience and maturity that the seasoned army man brings to the partnership. The latter, not one to be rolled over without a squeak, insists he is better off the way he is - fast and furious.”

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Manisha Koirala On Working With Heeramandi Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali After 28 Years: "Was Very Thrilled"

Manisha Koirala is all set to feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's OTT debut series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Ahead of the show's release, the Gupt star opened up about working with the ace director after a long wait of 28 years. Talking to NDTV, the actress revealed how the offer came her way. She said, "When I was offered this project, I was in Nepal, gardening and I was really thrilled. I waited for such a long time. It took 28 years of waiting and finally Sanjay came with a good project and i told him, 'Sanjay don't take another 28 years to offer me another good one.'"

She further continued, "I have seen his movies after Khamoshi. So much pleasure and joy it gives me to see his career graph and one after the other brilliant film he has made. At this age and stage in my life when I was offered this, I was really thrilled.

Talking about her experience of working in Heeramandi, the actress said, "I had 4th stage of cancer and to get a chance to life after that was like a second chance to life. I wasn't sure if i would live and how long I would live. In my work life, to work in a project like Heeramandi and to play this character, which has so layers, for me it was like a second life for an actor."

For the unversed, the actress will be playing Mallikajaan in Heeramandi, described as the “scheming” figure who “rules over an elite house of courtesans” in British-ruled India.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar will be released on May 1. The period drama features a stellar ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Segal.

Mrunal Thakur On Losing Films As Her Parents Did Not Approve Of Intimate Scenes

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur, who was recently seen in film Family Star alongside Vijay Deverakonda, opened up about her discomfort with regard to doing intimate scenes on screen. In an interview with iDiva, the actress shared how she lost on a lot of films because her parents would not approve of them and she was not comfortable either. Mrunal said: “I was not really comfortable doing scenes which were intimate, like romantically. I would just get scared, I'd just say no to a film, but how long could I say no? There was a point I had to sit down with my parents and tell them that ‘Papa, I cannot miss a part because sometimes it's there, it's not my choice.”

She further continued, “As much as I wanted to do a film, I had to drop because there was a kissing scene involved. As an actor, you need to be ready because sometimes that's the demand (of the scene). If you are not comfortable, you can tell, you can talk about it but I kept missing out on films because of that.”

In an earlier interview with Humans Of Bombay,  the Love Sonia actress opened up about finding a balance between work and life. “It's important to balance life and career but you're always trying to figure out how to strike that balance. I know relationships are tough, and that's why you need to find the right partner who understands the nature of your job." On being asked about freezing her eggs as actress Mona Singh did, Mrunal Thakur said, "Freezing eggs, yes, I'm also considering that.”

Mrunal Thakur was last seen in Family Star alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Previously she was seen in Hi Nanna opposite Nani. She will soon star in Pooja Meri Jaan.

A new day, a new update about Kalki 2898 AD. The creators have released a new video, teasing a major announcement scheduled for Saturday (April 27) at 5 PM. In the video, shared on the official Instagram page, Amitabh Bachchan's character is seen sporting long hair and a bearded look, dressed in rugged attire. His face is covered in bandages. The actor reaches towards a shivalinga and says, “Ab mera samay aa gya hai. Mere antim yudh ka samay aa gya hai. [Now is my time. In addition to Amitabh Bachchan, Kalki 2898 AD features a star-studded cast including Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani. The mythology-inspired sci-fi film is directed by Nag Ashwin. Backed by Aswini Dutt, Kalki 2898 AD will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Box Office Collection Day 16: Progress Report Of Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff's Film

The box office numbers for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan have seen a dip on its third Friday. On Day 16, the film headlined by Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar collected Rs 45 lakh, according to a Sacnilk report. The action-packed film has amassed a total of Rs 58.95 crore so far. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also features Manushi Chhillar, Alaya Furniturewalla and Prithviraj Sukumaran in significant roles. The movie has been released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has been collectively produced by Jackky Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment and Ali Abbas Zafar's AAZ Films.

Actress Manushi Chhillar, who plays the role of Captain Misha in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, recently shared her thoughts on the film not meeting expectations at the box office. In an interview with Zoom, Manushi said, “One thing that you need to make peace with in life (once you become an actor) is that you will see more of your expectations not being met. I had a very different life prior to entering cinema. I think life spoiled me for so long, and I thought if I worked hard towards something, then it would happen my way. And things did work out in my favour.”

Manushi Chhillar continued, “And then I entered the film industry. Everyone told me I need to have patience and things don't happen overnight here. But I was thinking a lot of things happened overnight in my life. I was like, if I'm focused and dedicated, then I will get something out of it and I have gotten something out of everything. But yes, as an actor, you do want your film to do well and want a lot of people to watch your film, like you on screen and the film as well, and have a good time and feel entertained. Sometimes that doesn't happen, which is perfectly normal and that's something I kind of made peace with.” 

“For me, the only thing that matters is, I need to do a good job, grow as an actor, and explore new things. Box office numbers are something over which you, as an actor, don't have any control. So whatever I don't have control over, I don't think too much about it. Very early on, I told myself, ‘don't let success get into your head and don't let failure hurt your heart',” the actress added.

Agastya Nanda Helped Sister Navya Naveli On The Red Carpet But The Dress Was "Too Complicated"

Navya Naveli Nanda and brother Agastya attended an award show in Mumbai last night. The brother-sister duo walked the red carpet together and they were the definition of yin-yang. Navya wore white, Agasya was dressed in black. Navya's outfit featured a giant train which her brother Agastya helped hold up on the red carpet. "Caring brother," the paparazzi said referring to Agastya at the event. While Agastya tried his best, the dress was "too complicated." (Navya's words). So a gentleman helped Navya with the train of her outfit. Navya posted the video on her Instagram stories and she wrote, "When the dress is too complicated for your brother to handle."

Navya Naveli Nanda, a graduate from New York's Fordham University, is the co-owner of the Aara Health, an online platform which discusses health issues and more. She is the daughter of author Shweta Bachchan and entrepreneur Nikhil Nanda. She is the granddaughter of Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Navya has a podcast called What The Hell Navya, which she co-hosts with her mom Shweta Bachchan and grand mom Jaya Bachchan.

In his debut film The Archies, Agastya Nanda starred as the lead character Archie Andrews. The film also starred Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina and Yuvraj Menda. The Hindi adaptation of The Archie comics has been directed by Zoya Akhtar and it has been co-produced by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Sharad Devarajan under their production houses Tiger Baby and Graphic India. It released on streaming giant Netflix on December 7, last year. Agastya will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan's Ekkis. The film will be produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Govinda Attends Niece Arti Singh's Wedding Amid Feud With Her Brother Krushna Abhishek

Govinda surprised everyone by attending his niece Arti Singh's wedding in Mumbai on Thursday evening. Fans were uncertain if Govinda would attend Arti's wedding, especially since he missed her pre-wedding ceremonies. Govinda was all smiles as he made a grand entry in an all-black sherwani to Arti's wedding. He also greeted the paparazzi stationed outside the wedding venue with folded hands. Govinda has had a strained relationship with his nephew Krushna Abhishek, who is Arti's brother. They had a major fallout in 2018. However, it appears Govinda has chosen to reconcile and mend their relationship.

In 2018, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja reportedly criticized Krushna Abhishek's wife Kashmera Shah for a tweet about "people who dance for money," believing it was aimed at Govinda. The fallout led to the family cutting ties with Kashmera and her husband Krushna Abhishek. Krushna later clarified that the tweet was about his sister Arti Singh, but the damage was done, causing a public rift between the families.

A while ago, actress Bipasha Basu and her husband-actor Karan Singh Grover also arrived at the wedding venue. They were accompanied by Bipasha's mother.

Arti and Dipak's sangeet, haldi and mehendi functions also had a starry touch. The sangeet night was attended by Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Rashami Desai, Kishwer Merchant, Yuvika Chaudhary, Shehzada Dhami, Karan Singh Grover, and others. Arti danced to popular Bollywood wedding songs. Krushna also gave a special performance.

Reportedly, it's an arranged marriage and the duo met through matchmakers. Arti, niece of actor Govinda, has appeared in several TV Shows. She was also a part of Bigg Boss 13.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Box Office Collection Day 15: Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff's Film Is Still En Route Rs 60 Crore

The 15-day box office report card for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is here. On day 15, the Ali Abbas Zafar movie garnered Rs 0.80 crore. So far, the film, full of action sequences, has amassed Rs 58.50 crore, as per a Sacnilk report. Released on April 11, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is headlined by Akshay Kumar (Captain Firoz) and Tiger Shroff (Captain Rakesh). Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran is also part of the film. He portrays the role of rogue scientist-entrepreneur Doctor Kabir. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also features Manushi Chhillar and Alaya Furniturewalla.

Earlier, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed his initial hesitation about accepting the role in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. He shared, “While shooting for the climax of Salaar, I was talking to Prashanth about this nice and wonderful script that Ali Abbas Zafar narrated to me. I told him that I've been offered a role in the film but I won't be able to do it because of date issues. I spoke to Prashanth for about 20 minutes about the film and the script. That's when he told me that it really looks like I want to do it. He said, ‘Knowing you, if you really let it go, you'll feel rotten.' And he was absolutely right. If I wasn't a part of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, I would've been kicking myself after watching it.”

“Unfortunately, I was doing two films at the same time, which I usually never do. In the Malayalam industry, we don't have the practice of doing multiple films together. When we start a film, we stick with it until we finish it and then move onto another one. But thankfully, things moved around a bit. Ali also adjusted a little which helped me do the film. I'm glad I could do it because it's a very good film," Prithviraj Sukumaran added.
