It so happened that Sussanne Khan threw a party to celebrate her son Hrehaan Roshan's 18th birthday. At the party, Hrehaan's dad Hrihtik Roshan's girlfriend Saba Azad was also invited. On Sunday, Sussanne Khan  shared an inside picture from the birthday bash in which she was seen posing adorably with the Rocket Boys star. In the photo, Sussanne looked elegant in a black crop top and matching skirt, while Saba wore a floral skirt. Sussanne expressed her gratitude to Saba, writing, "@sabazad thank you darling sabooo for all the love and sunshine." In response, Saba wrote, "Thanks my sooz for the best time ever."

Saba Azad and Hrithik Roshan made their relationship official in May 2022. Since then, the couple has also not shied away from social media PDA. Amitabh Bachchan Recalls Jumping From A 30-Foot Cliff Without Harness For A Film: "Those Were The Days"

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, who often treats his fans on Instagram to pictures from his early days in the film industry, did nothing different on Sunday. The Yudh actor shared a throwback image of himself on social media and remembered how action sequences were shot in the 1970s. Sharing a picture of himself from the set of his 1979 film Mr Natwarlal, Big B recalled the days when actors didn't have safety gear while performing action sequences for movies. Along with the photo, senior Bachchan wrote, ".. taking off from a 30-foot cliff for an action sequence .. no harness, no face replacement, no VFX .. and landing .. err .. on mattresses .. if you were lucky ..'Those were the days my friend'."  In the comment section, Shilpa Shirodkar wrote, "You were and will always be the best forever Amitji" while Sanjay Dutt's wife Maanayata Dutt dropped a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, during the latest episode of Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast What The Hell Navya Season 2, the veteran star opened up about how she and her husband, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan have to keep up with the times or else they will be left behind.  It occurred when Navya Navya Naveli Navya appreciated her grandparents – Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan for keeping up with the times. She said, “I feel today, looking at you, looking at Nana, I feel that you are over a certain age, you are adapting to current times and that's such a beautiful thing.” Jaya emphasised that this is something they have to do “or else we will be left behind.”

Bollywood veteran Neetu Kapoor and her children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor made an appearance as guests on the first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. This comedy show, headlined by Kapil Sharma, premiered on Netflix. During the conversation, Neetu Kapoor spoke about how her son Ranbir is quite different from his late father, Rishi Kapoor when it comes to parenthood. She mentioned, “His expressions are reserved for cinema. In real life, he doesn't react that much to things. For the first time, when Raha enters, you should see his face. It's full of expression. He gets very excited. He is the best father. Alia (Bhatt) is a good mother. She is outstanding but he is a hands-on father. I have seen many fathers but I have seen none like him. He is the opposite of his father (Rishi Kapoor). My husband was never very good with children.”

Ranbir Kapoor married actress Alia Bhatt in April 2022. The couple welcomed their daughter Raha in November of the same year.

In the same show, Neetu Kapoor also shared insights into how Ranbir Kapoor has transformed since Raha's birth. She remarked, “Ranbir has changed a lot after becoming a father. He has become so caring.” Riddhima Kapoor added to this sentiment, saying, “He is such a lovely, amazing father.”

While discussing his bond with little Raha, Ranbir Kapoor said, “I don't feel like doing anything. I don't want to shoot, I don't want to go anywhere. I want to sit at home and just look at her. I haven't felt like this ever in my life. Now I understand how mom used to feel about me and Riddhima.”

Avinash Tiwary On Bulbbul Co-Star Triptii Dimri's Film Animal's Success: "A Breakthrough Moment For Her..."

Actor Avinash Tiwary, who was last seen in the film Madgaon Express, recently discussed about his Laila Majnu co-star Triptii Dimri, who was termed India's "national crush" after her impactful appearance in the blockbuster film Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Talking to Indian Express, the actor said "There was a breakthrough moment for her and all the credibility that she earned before that has given so much more love to her. I am hoping something like that would happen to me as well.” Besides Laila Majnu, Avinash and Triptii collaborated in the Netflix film Bulbbul.

Talking about his role in Madgaon Express, Avinash said, "I had three very intense shows just prior to Madgaon Express — Khakee, Bambai Meri Jaan and Kaala. It is not the right thing to say, and it's not true also that this was easier, but I would say it was less taxing for me to do Madgaon than all the other parts. Hence I felt a bit liberated. There was no burden of certain characteristics to maintain the gravity of intensity of the characters I was playing earlier. It gave me a breath of fresh air, made me feel lighter. I felt I could be more expressive as there was more freedom to do stuff and I enjoyed it. I also started wondering if by doing less taxing work I can make the audience react in this way then why am I doing so much mehnat (hard work)!”

Meanwhile Avinash latest film Madgaon Express witnessed a dip on its first Friday. On day 8, the film collected ₹85 lakh through ticket counters, as reported by Sacnilk. So far, this comedy-drama has amassed ₹14.35 crore at the domestic box office.

12th Fail star Vikrant Massey, who along with his wife Sheetal welcomed their son Vardaan last month, has now tattooed his name on his hand. The news was shared by the actor himself on his InstAgram stories on Saturday night. Alia Bhatt To Host First Hope Gala In London. Details Inside

Actor, producer and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt is all set to host her first Hope Gala in London. As per a source close to the actress' team, Alia will host Hope Gala on March 28 in partnership with the Mandarin Oriental hotel group at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. This is in support of Alia's chosen charity Salaam Bombay which is focused on engaging Mumbai's most vulnerable 'at-risk' children through in-school programmes (leadership and advocacy) and after-school academies (skill building) that help build their confidence, self-esteem and commit them to stay in school.

Reportedly, the Gala will be attended by prolific industrialists and philanthropists from India and London

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia has recently completed shooting for Jigra, which also stars Vedang Raina.

Announcing the wrap, a few days ago, she shared candid photos from the sets of the movie on her Instagram featuring herself and Vedang.

In the photos, Alia was seen in an all-new short hair look for the film. Alia and Vedang were seen in a candid mood as they sat beside each other.

Helmed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself. The film is all set to hit the theatres on September 27, 2024.

Director Vasan Bala has previously helmed films like Monica O My Darling, a crime thriller film Peddlers and Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota. Jigra was announced last year in September.

The announcement video showed the film is a tale of a sister's love for her brother and how she would do anything to protect him. Jigra marks Alia and Vasan's first on-screen collaboration.

Alia will also be seen in director Farhan Akhtar's film Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. The film promises to be another tale of friendship in the lineage of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. However, the work on the film has not started yet.

Shah Rukh Khan "Refused" To Take Any Money For The Forgotten Army, Reveals Director Kabir Khan

Filmmaker Kabir Khan recently praised the generosity of actor Shah Rukh Khan for lending his voice to his web series The Forgotten Army without charging a fee. Kabir Khan revealed that he decided to take a chance by proposing the idea to Shah Rukh Khan, who immediately agreed without any hesitation. In an interview with Mashable India, Kabir Khan reminisced about considering Shah Rukh Khan for the voiceover. He shared, "When I made The Forgotten Army and those who have seen it, before every episode, there is a 30-second introduction which has a voiceover giving you the historical context of that episode. I thought who should narrate and I thought Shah Rukh Khan should do it. I just took a shot and called him and said, ‘Shah Rukh, there is a series I have made on Azad Hind Fauj, will you voice it?' And once again without batting an eyelid, he said, ‘Of course.'”

Kabir Khan continued, expressing his gratitude for Shah Rukh Khan's gesture, stating, "He just came to the dubbing studio in Bandra. He did the voiceover for free. He refused to take any money. He did it because we have known each other for years and he has always been so gracious and generous with his affection. It was so special. He is somebody I have known since before he joined the industry. I was friends with Gauri."

For the unversed, The Forgotten Army narrates the tale of The Indian National Army, also known as Azad Hind Fauj. During the interview, Kabir also revealed an intriguing detail about Shah Rukh Khan's father and said, "This is something a lot of people don't know. Shah Rukh's father was very closely associated with General Shah Nawaz Khan and General Shah Nawaz Khan is one of the generals of Netaji's Azad Hind Fauj. He was among the top generals in Azad Hind Fauj and Shah Rukh's father was a close associate with him so he has a connection with Azad Hind Fauj." The Forgotten Army starred Sharvari Wagh and Sunny Kaushal in key roles.

Madgaon Express Box Office Collection Day 7: Kunal Kemmu's Film Witnesses A Dip

The one-week box office report for Madgaon Express is finally in. On day 7, the comedy-drama made a decent collection through ticket counters and minted ₹1.2 crore as per a Sacnilk report. With this, the directorial debut of Kunal Kemmu has collected a total of ₹13.50 crore at the domestic box office. Released on March 22, Madgaon Express tells the story of three childhood friends' trip to Goa that takes an unexpected turn. The film stars Pratik Gandhi, Divyenndu, and Avinash Tiwary in the lead roles. Madgaon Express is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment.

On Thursday, Bollywood trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh posted a note on X (formerly known as Twitter) to share day 6 box office figures of Madgaon Express. He wrote, “#MadgaonExpress Fri 1.63 cr, Sat 2.72 cr, Sun 2.81 cr, Mon [#Holi] 2.72 cr, Tue 1.46 cr, Wed 1.21 cr. In his NDTV review, film critic Saibal Chatterjee said, “Madgaon Express is one rigmarole that never seems close to overstaying its welcome, with even the post-climax scenes - they interrupt the end credits in a novel, cockeyed fashion - springing loads of surprises and forcing the audience to hang on until it is all done and dusted.”

Saibal Chatterjee continued, “Apart from a script that never stops delivering generous doses of hilarity, the comic timing that the three actors achieve gives the riotous farce its vibrancy. Each of the three principal actors successfully employs his own style to fit the character he plays. In the guise of the stoic sceptic, Avinash Tiwari exudes strength and solidity, transmitting mirth with his measured underplaying.”

Parineeti Chopra On Working With Amar Singh Chamkila Director Imtiaz Ali: "Waited More Than 9 Years..."

Actor Parineeti Chopra on Thursday said she had to audition for the role Amarjot in Netflix's Amar Singh Chamkila, a film that also fulfilled her wish of collaborating with director Imtiaz Ali.

Chopra, who earlier lent her voice to songs of her films Meri Pyaari Bindu and Kesari, said Ali and the film's composer, A R Rahman, wanted to test her singing skills before casting her in the biopic on the life of the slain Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila.

She stars opposite Diljit Dosanjh, who plays the title role in the movie.

"I remember it was a Zoom call with Rahman sir, Imtiaz sir and Diljit. I thought it would be just an introduction but then Rahman sir asked me, 'Do you know how to sing?' I answered 'I like singing'. And then he said, 'Ok sing and show.' "I sang ‘Dama Dam Mast Qalandar' and whatever Punjabi songs I could sing. That's how he auditioned me,” Chopra said at the trailer launch of the film here.

The film revolves around the life and time of Amar Singh Chamkila, a popular Punjabi singer in the '80s who was shot dead with his singer-wife Amarjot in 1988.

Chopra said she was waiting to work with Ali, known for films such as Jab We Met, Rockstar and Love Aaj Kal, for almost a decade.

"I have been waiting to work with him for more than nine years. The day I had come into the movies, I had made a list of directors and sir's name was on number one. Even though I felt he would never work with me, I still put him on the list. Now, it has happened,” she said.

Working on Amar Singh Chamkila has spoiled her, added the actor.

“'Chamila' has ruined the experience of every other film that I am ever going to do now because I worked with the best director, co-star, and music director. I got to immortalise a person, musician and legend like Amarjot ji (on screen). I wonder what I will do in my next film.

“Shooting Chamkila was like meditation. It was full of music yet it was the calmest, most disciplined, beautiful, and harmonious set... By the end of the day, I used to feel fulfilled. It used to feel like I came back from a gurdwara. I think I have done something good in my life that sir gave this film to me,” Chopra said.

Amar Singh Chamkila will start streaming on Netflix from April 12.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Estranged Wife Aaliya On Reconciliation: "We've Completely Surrendered"

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui are back together for the sake of their children. In a recent interview with ETimes, Aaliya Siddiqui spoke her heart out and revealed they have decided to "live together and peacefully". Speaking to ETimes, Aaliya Siddiqui said, "In recent times, a few things have changed in my life. I felt that when we share bad things with the world, we should also share the good ones. I feel that what's good should also be seen. Nawaz was also here so we celebrated the anniversary together with the kids." A couple of days back, Aaliya shared a famjam picture featuring herself, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and their kids Shora and Yaani from her 14th wedding anniversary celebrations. Aaliya also shared that Nawazuddin celebrated the new year eve with his family in Dubai in December 2023.

Aaliya Siddiqui also said that their separation hugely affected daughter Shora. She told ETimes, "I feel the problems that we faced in our relationship were always because of a third person. But now that misunderstanding is out of our lives. Because of our kids, we've completely surrendered. There's no option of being apart in life now, because the kids are also growing up. Also, Nawaz is very close to Shora and she was very disturbed after whatever happened. She couldn't tolerate it. So we decided that we are not going to fight and will live together, peacefully."

Ila Arun Criticises Choli Ke Peeche Remix For Crew: "I Am Shaken Up By This"

Ila Arun, one of the original singers of the iconic song Choli Ke Peeche from the 1993 movie Khalnayak, recently shared her thoughts on the song's remake for the film Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon. In an interview with India Today, Ila Arun expressed her disappointment with the lack of communication from the music company, Tips, regarding the remake. Ila Arun revealed that she was informed just five minutes before the release of the remixed version of Choli Ke Peeche and was asked for her blessings. While she gave her blessings, Ila Arun admitted feeling "dumbfounded" and unable to question the decision to remake the original song. She praised the iconic status of the song, its orchestration by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, and the performances of Madhuri Dixit and Neena Gupta.

"Firstly, I would like to make it very clear that I have a very good relationship with Tips. Having said that, they called me five minutes before the launch of the song and asked my blessing. What else I could do, except give them my blessings? "

Ila Arun added, "I was dumbfounded but couldn't ask them why have you done this? So my reaction to the song is exactly what Alka Yagnik's reaction is. I feel Choli Ke Peeche is such an iconic song. What a fantastic orchestration by Laxmikant–Pyarelal and the world has danced to this colourful tune for years now. It's a beautiful song written by Anand Bakshi and performed by Madhuri Dixit and Neena Gupta."

In the same interview, Ila Arun also spoke about the importance of informing the original artists involved in a song's creation if it is to be remade, describing it as an ethical obligation. Ila Arun expressed her disappointment with the lack of communication and compensation for the original artists, stating that while she appreciates the recognition, she feels shaken by the situation and believes that if profits are made from the remake, the original artists should be compensated.

She said, "I don't want to create any controversy. The fact is that everyone is complimenting me that I am rocking, but am I not rocking, I am shaken up by this. Even the younger generation is calling me and telling me that my song has been recreated and Kareena Kapoor Khan is dancing to the number, but what can I do about that? I can only say I am dumbfounded. In my opinion, if you want to recreate, you should work with the original artists and keep them in the loop. And if you are making any profit, then they also should get compensation for it."
